Murray Fire Station 81

Murray City is centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley and the core of the city has been undergoing a renaissance with major redevelopment around an underutilized and unsightly part of the city. This includes the Station 81 replacement, which serves as headquarters for the four-station department housing admin offices, five apparatus bays, education/training room, communications room, fitness center, sleeping quarters, maintenance/equipment, and community room.

The new 2-story, 23,000 square foot station is modern and technologically advanced with the latest emergency alerting systems and many sustainable design and construction elements including a brownfield site remediation and water-efficient landscaping. The station’s interior includes several elements related to Murray’s rich history and tradition including an honor wall with memorabilia at the entrance.
